Dr. Samuel Zapata is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Texas A&M Higher Education Center at McAllen and the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Weslaco, Texas. Dr. Zapata's research agenda focuses on the intersections of production economics, farm management, marketing, and quantitative methods. Dr. Zapata received his Ph.D. in Applied Economics and M.S. in Applied Economics and Statistics from Clemson University, and B.S. in Agricultural Sciences and Production from Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural University.
